Job title: Finance Assistant – Commercial Accounts

Location:  Nottingham (3 days office / 2 days WFH)
Salary: £26,000 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to join a busy Commercial Finance team based in Nottingham. This role would suit someone with previous finance experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is keen to further develop their accounting knowledge.

You’ll support the team with month-end processes, reconciliations, reporting activities, and general finance administration.

Key Responsibilities: Finance Assistant

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Perform balance sheet and accounts reconciliations
  • Support month‑end and year‑end close activities
  • Assist with journals
  • Support the preparation of Apple Claims
  • Assist with audit requests and documentation
  • Respond to internal and external finance queries
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
  • Provide general finance and administrative support as required

 

What We’re Looking For: Finance Assistant

  • Previous experience in a finance or accounts-based role
  • Good understanding of accounting principles
  • Strong Excel skills including formulas and pivot tables
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Experience with D365 or similar accounting software is advantageous
  • Studying towards AAT, ACCA or CIMA would be beneficial
