Job Description

As we continue our mission to make people happy through chocolate, we’re looking for a PR & Influencer Manager to join our PR team for a 12 month FTC to cover a maternity leave.

This role will be at the heart of telling the amazing stories behind Hotel Chocolat. You’ll be responsible for running proactive communications campaigns across our portfolio – including The Velvetiser, peak seasonal periods like Christmas, and Velvetised Creams. With a strong industry network, you’ll drive awareness and build brand affinity through engaging PR, influencer, and media relations programs.

As well as a competitive salary and a range of company benefits, you’ll receive 50% discount on all products, and a 70% discount for you and your guests when you stay at our Rabot Estate hideaway on the paradise island of Saint Lucia.

Here at Hotel Chocolat, we've adopted hybrid working. This means you’ll join us on-site for three days a week, and for the other two days – you can work from wherever you like!

What you’ll be doing…

  • Developing and executing the proactive PR and influencer strategy, securing high-level placements across print, broadcast, and online media.
  • Identifying and capitalising on emerging trends to ensure our PR and influencer approach remains relevant and appealing.
  • Creating and executing plans to elevate Hotel Chocolat’s presence in consumer press.
  • Supporting the Senior PR Manager with crisis management plans and acting as a key spokesperson.
  • Managing PR campaigns and influencer partnerships with a strong commercial and strategic mindset.
  • Supporting the PR Assistant in curating content for press releases, sending media drops, managing product gifting, and overseeing the press office during peak seasonal times.
  • Defining a measurement framework to monitor, analyse, and report on PR results.
  • Managing budgets for all live campaigns.
  • Overseeing the influencer ambassador programme, engaging with current ambassadors and recruiting new talent to maximise ROI.
  • Building market-leading influencer marketing strategies that create genuine advocacy and conversations around our products.
  • Working alongside the social and digital teams to ensure our influencer programme aligns with wider brand goals.
  • Negotiating contracts with influencers and agents to ensure fair pricing and consistency.

Who you are…

  • A natural storyteller with a passion for building brand affinity.
  • A strategic thinker who can balance creative ideas with commercial acumen.
  • A strong communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-faceted role.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • A team player who enjoys collaborating but is also confident working independently.

Essential

  • Proven track record of designing and executing successful national PR campaigns for a well-known consumer brand.
  • Strong relationships with consumer and industry media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
  • A data-driven mindset with experience using insights to inform PR and influencer strategies.
  • Experience managing influencer campaigns from concept to execution, including event planning and reporting.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • Experience handling multiple stakeholders with clear and concise communication.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

Desirable

  • BA/MA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related discipline.
  • Event planning experience.

Who are we?

We’re one of the UK’s favourite premium chocolate brands, with a range of products spanning luxury gifts, alcohol, and our pioneering drinking chocolate system, The Velvetiser™.

A cacao pod takes years to grow – it can’t be rushed if it’s going to be just right for our products. The same can be said for Hotel Chocolat, which originally started as a mint production company before we realised it was luxury chocolate that we were really passionate about.

Now, we’re market leaders in the industry. What began as an online-only business grew to over 140 stores across the UK, and we’re still growing… Today, we’re multi-category, multi-channel, and multi-territory, and our customers, colleagues, cacao farmers, and suppliers all benefit from the success we make together.
