Senior Full Stack Engineer

Full Time | Permanent | Edinburgh – hybrid working

Space Intelligence is a fast-scaling global technology start-up company headquarters in Edinburgh, a world-leading supplier of spatial data to support solutions to the climate and Biodiversity Crisis.

In practice this means producing large scale analysis of forest protection projects, blending together on the ground knowledge, with multiple forms of satellite data, with the help of advanced Machine learning techniques.

The Role

• Working as part of a wider team to refine our analysis and machine learning platform.
• Assisting to build a web platform that will enable nature-based solution to climate crisis.
• Contributing to the creation of a new technology platform from scratch to enable the protection of threatened forests around the world.

Our software stack:

• Cloud based platforms such as GCP and AWS
• Containers, serverless, ML optimised (GPU) instances
• Python, using OpenAPI API’s
• Agile development processes (Scrum based)
• Mac dev PC’s, and linux for deployment

Essential Criteria

• At least 3 years of experience of software development, covering all aspects of the development lifecycle, including design, coding and testing
