Scheduler/Planner

Palmer & Co have a fantastic opportunity for a Scheduler to join our operations team based at our head office in Glasgow.

About the Role:

  • Manage jobs, both reactive and PPM, and allocate to the correct engineer resource based on location, skill, priority, and customer requirements.
  • Effective management and planning of works, through on-going communication with operatives and use of our job management software.
  • Controlling and planning an agreed amount of resource (vehicles, operatives)
  • To ensure the daily plan is completed in real time managing resources effectively, maximising utilisation.
  • Control and execution of in-house planning tools and systems to manage workload and monitor efficiency.
  • To develop good working relationships with customers, keeping them fully informed and react positively and speedily to their needs.
  • Escalating customer complaints/escalations through the relevant processes.
  • Reporting any scheduling issues to the relevant person as appropriate.
  • Constantly communicate with our customers & operatives to ensure customer KPI's and targets are achieved and maintained.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Scheduling: 2 years (required)
  • Experience in scheduling planned and reactive works.
  • Proficient IT skills with experience in effective diary management.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to plan ahead and work on your own initiative.
  • Drive and enthusiasm with a modern, positive, forward-thinking attitude.
  • A knowledge of general Health & Safety would be beneficial but not imperative.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Experience in a busy office environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and have the ability to work to high levels of accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational skills and have the ability to manage a busy workload, prioritising tasks in order of importance.
  • Hardworking and committed, display problem solving skills and be both flexible and adaptable, with a can-do attitude, willing to help and support your colleagues.

Salary: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year (dependent on experience).  This will be discussed at interview stages. Candidates will be expected to work a potential pattern of Monday-Friday, suiting the needs of the Business. Flexibility may be granted for the ideal candidate.
