APPRENTICE TRANSPORT REFRIGERATION ENGINEER

BeyondHR are assisting our client Technical Transport Products in recruiting a reliable and self-motivated Apprentice to join their team.

Are you looking to start a career are you starting and looking to join a well-established Company.  This 4-year apprenticeship opportunity will provide the successful candidate with the skills and qualifications to progress into a full-time position within our team. You will receive specialised internal and external training to ensure you feel equipped to work independently and as part of a team to meet our customer needs.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Service Manager, the Apprentice will join our team of experienced engineers in our Ballymena branch. Under the direction of senior staff members, you will become familiar with the materials, tools, principles and skills required in the transport refrigeration industry. The apprentice’s responsibilities will include:

• Shadowing senior staff members, asking questions, and assisting wherever possible.
• Observing health and safety regulations at all times.
• Undertaking professional training within the Thermo King network and traveling to sites.
• Participating in team training initiatives.
• Maintaining a high degree of professionalism and diligence.

Ideal candidates for the Apprentice position will meet the following:

Essential Criteria

• A minimum of three GCSEs attained at grade ‘C’ or above (or equivalent) in Maths, Science and English Language.  
• Be computer literate.
• Ensure customer service is a priority.
• Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

• A clean, current driving license

Additional information

The hours of work are 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Thursday and 8:30am - 4:00pm on Fridays.
