Brand and Business Development Manager

Full Time  |  Permanent  |  Coagh, Cookstown

Salary: £30 to £35k, depending on experience

The Role:

The post holder will work closely with the FG7 Group across NI & ROI with the target of developing brand and technical awareness across a wide range of products.  The role will be focused on FG7’s strategic suppliers and respective product portfolio. The job holder will build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and all FG7 group members. Provide training and product awareness to staff and customers of FG7 members. Attendance at trade shows and evening events set up by members to communicate with their customers.

This is an important role within the business and will involve working the Managing Director and senior management as well as the internal FG7 team but will also be expected to work under their own initiative. As a field-based role, a large proportion of contact will be via telephone, email, etc.

The Person:

You will have a good understanding of the Irish aftermarket, have experience and a track record of success building business with Motor Factors in the market along with an understanding of the independent garage sector.

The successful candidate will be a ‘self-starter’, able to work and plan their own time. Key attributes will include excellent communication skills at all levels, tenacity, drive and a positive, can-do approach. 

Essential Criteria:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSE passes at minimum grade ‘C’ or equivalent (or higher) including English Language & Maths
  • 3 years’ proven experience of working in a target driven Business Development role gained within the last 5 years
  • Proven analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Evidence of strong, organisational, planning and time management skills
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office software, specifically Excel

Desirable Criteria:

  • A 3rd level (or above) qualification in sales, marketing or related discipline
  • Experience of working within the Automotive Aftermarket
  • Experience of meeting with suppliers and communicating efficiently with customers
