The Role

November 2022 will see Brayleys open its first Honda motorcycle dealership alongside its existing flagship Honda passenger car dealership on the busy Southend Arterial Road in Romford.

In preparation for this exciting development of our business we are seeking to appoint a dedicated Honda Motorcycle Sales Manager.  Your initial task will be to work alongside our Honda Franchise director preparing our motorcycle dealership for trading as we build towards our grand opening in November 2022.

You will spend time learning about our business, it’s culture and our philosophies.  You will be involved in recruiting and nurturing our motorcycle sales team, sourcing our used motorcycle stock and working with our equipment & accessories supplier as we prepare to open our doors to the public

To be successful in this role, you will certainly need to have previous experience as a motorcycle sales manager, but what other skills and experience would be good?

Whilst brand experience is preferred, it isn’t essential. In addition to your experience, you will demonstrate the following:

  • The ability to nurture and build long lasting and trusting relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholders of our business.
  • The ability to lead, support and motivate your sales team in meeting its collective goals together.
  • A calm and professional manner, making sure the business and the team comply with both our companies and our regulatory bodies processes and procedures. 
  • A commitment to the Brayleys Company Principal to treat every visitor to Brayleys Cars as we would a welcome guest in our own home.

When the dealership is open what does a typical day involve?

  • Managing the team of dedicated Honda motorcycle Sales Executives
  • Supporting, Leading and Motivating your team to meet sales targets
  • Liaising with customers, both face-to-face, by phone/email, through social media and messaging platforms.
  • Liaising with the manufacturers’ representatives
  • Understanding and constantly improving our customer experience
  • We don’t always get it 100% right and that means you will also be handling any customer complaints in an efficient and effective way
  • Collating finance proposals for customers
  • Speaking to customers, both face-to-face and over the phone
  • Making sure that our stock is correctly and competitively priced, delivering a great on-line presence.
