As part of our growing technology team, we need a strong Business Analyst to help us gather and document requirements for our ambitious application development projects.

The Business Analyst elicits, analyses, specifies, and validates the business needs of stakeholders, be they customers or end users.  The BA will work closely with the Chief Technology Officer and designers to deliver requirements work products and assist in the production of design work products.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision.
  • Conducts interviews to gather customer requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.
  • Works with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements.
  • Participates in the QA/testing of applications to ensure that they meet the stated requirements.
  • Analyses and verifies requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
  • Creates process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team.
  • Assists with the interpretation of customer requirements into feasible options and communicating these back to the business stakeholders.
  • Manages and tracks the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine, as necessary.
  • Communicates changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements — verbally or through written documentation — to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.

Work Hours & Benefits: 

We expect you to follow a 37-hour week, working initially from home and then either from our Head Office in Portstewart or our office space in Belfast. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package and opportunities for technical growth.

Project Manager Qualifications/Skills:

  • Strong experience in all aspects of Business Analysis and Requirements gathering.
  • Experience of producing Business Analysis work products.
  • Experience of being a key part of an application development team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Impeccable attention to detail.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business or a related field.
  • Three to five years of experience in Business Analysis along with associated Technical Qualifications.
