Graduate Retail Management Training Programme - Ref: 8774

If you are ready to kick start your career in retail leadership then our Store Graduate Management Programme is for you. Our comprehensive training programme will provide you with the opportunity to quickly develop with the prospect of running your own store within a short period of time.

After an induction within our central Retail Support office, you will be allocated to a Training Store where you will receive immediate responsibility, combined with excellent on and off the job training gaining invaluable, hands-on experience to every facet of the store – financial management, customer service, community engagement, merchandising, staffing and many others.

On successful completion of the initial training programme you will graduate to Assistant Store Manager and will take up full responsibilities within the Store Management team. Your speed of progression to Store Manager and beyond will be entirely up to you and the results that you achieve.

We'll expect a lot from you throughout the programme, so you'll need to be hardworking, passionate about retail and committed to delivering the very best for our customers. However, you'll receive full support from your mentors and colleagues in your store to help you realise your potential.

To join our Graduate Management Programme you’ll either be graduating next year (2017), or have graduated this year (2016), and will need to have (or to be expecting) at least a 2:2 (or equivalent) in your degree subject. You must have a passion for food retail, working in a store environment and delivering a great service to customers. Previous retail experience is essential and if you’ve got experience within a FMCG environment, this would be a benefit. We’re looking for the ‘best people’ - people with the ability to lead a team, people who are great at communication and people who are eager to drive and maintain excellent store performance and standards. The ability to think outside the box, set yourself high standards and always wanting to continually improve the business are also essential ‘best people’ attributes.

Our roles also require a flexible approach to working so you’ll be happy to do early starts and late finishes and also be available to work on weekends. As we have stores throughout the province, mobility is also key.

You will receive a competitive package and other great benefits. While the package is attractive, the real prize for you is your opportunity for progression to a Store Manager, and beyond, with an established and growing convenience retail market leader.

Applicants should note that based on the response, the Company may increase shortlisting criteria.

These opportunities are open to internal and external candidates.

Completed application forms must be submitted online by Sunday 8th January 2017.

Please be advised that we do not accept paper application forms.  All applications for any external vacancies must be submitted online.
